DEA (Diethanolamine) is a synthetic solvent used in detergents and humectant (moisturizer) soaps and allied products.

It is widely used in brake fluid, industrial degreaser and as an antifreezing agent.

Mostly used in liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner.

It can be harmful for the liver, kidneys and pancreas.

It may cause cancer in various organs.

It irritates skin, eyes, mucous membranes.

It is also found in hair dye, lotions, cream, bubble bath, liquid dishwashing detergent and laundry soap.

It creates health risk especially to infants and young children.

It also forms nitrosamines which are known to be carcinogens.

It causes allergic reactions and contact dermatitis.

It is hazardous and toxic.
